Unpacking the Circular Innovation Opportunities for Ireland’s MedTech Sector

Paul will present the findings of IMR & CIRCULÉIRE’s Best Practice Guide on the Circular Innovation Opportunities for Ireland’s MedTech Sector. Paul will present insights into what is driving the transition to a Circular Economy in Europe, the enablers and barriers to its implementation, and the value creation opportunities in adopting Circular Economy strategies. The Circular Innovation Opportunities for Ireland’s MedTech Sector is the10th sectoral best practice guide published by IMR & CIRCULÉIRE. The goal of these sectoral guides is to demystify the circular economy and its opportunities across key Irish economic sectors. The guides are based on information gathered through desktop research on the wider literature on a circular economy in MedTech across the world, policies in Europe and in Ireland aimed at supporting a circular economy, and an analysis of case studies where circular economy strategies were applied in the MedTech sector. The ultimate goal is to raise awareness and accelerate the transition to a circular economy in the MedTech sector in Ireland.
